Nov27| ‘Star Trek’ has a new release date!

The still untitled Star Trek 2 may not have a name yet, but at least it has a release date. Deadline reports that Paramount has officially set it’s Star Trek sequel phasers on May 17, 2013. The date opened up after Sony pulled Roland Emmerich’s Singularity from May 17th, 2013, to Nov 1, 2013.

Writer/director J.J. Abrams’ of the 2009 Star Trek revamp will return as director. The movie is being co-written by Abrams with Lost‘s Damon Lindelof and Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci (Kurtzman and Orci wrote the revamp).

The main cast from the reboot, including Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana, are all returning. Benicio Del Toro is rumored to be the villain but nothing has been confirmed.

And also, Star Trek 2 will be filmed in 3D. Not sure how that will effect the lens flare that was so prominent in the 2009 film.

Nov9| “DOG EAT DOG” – A short comedy starring Zachary Quinto

HI FRIENDS!
My name is Sian Heder and I am a filmmaker living in Los Angeles. I am asking for your help in making my next short film, DOG EAT DOG. With two feature projects in the process of being assembled, (which, you may be aware, is like herding cats), I have decided the time has come to make another short. Many of you may have supported my first film, MOTHER, which went on to win at Cannes and garnered many awards at film festivals worldwide. This new project is a short comedy collaboration with my old and dear friend, actor Zachary Quinto. We are using Kickstarter to both raise funds for the film AND to make a sizable donation to the Humane Society in support of dog adoption. So this is both art and charity.

Nov5| Zachary Quinto returning to American Horror Story

American Horror Story introduced previous residents of the Murder House in the two-part Halloween episode, and Zachary Quinto and Teddy Sears were perfect in the roles. Will they be back in a future episode, or was that the last fans have seen of them?

According to Entertainment Weekly, Quinto and Sears will be back—and pretty soon too! They’re going to reappear in episode 8, “Rubber Man,” which “is all about the titular figure. Part of that episode will be revealing just who he is. Rubber Man is an important figure in their past—he did kill them, after all. What will bring them back? Whatever it is, it’s nothing but good news that they are returning. There’s bound to be some more arguing when they show up again; will they be able to offer some information about Rubber Man? After the latest American Horror Story episode, the promo shown was all about Vivien’s pregnancy—specifically, just what’s going on with that baby? Vivien and Ben’s marriage is in trouble—she kicked him out—but will she let him get close again after she wonders just what’s going on with what she presumes is his baby? Will she find out the truth?
