J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek sequel hits DVD/Blu-ray on September 10, with a digital release in August, Paramount announced yesterday. The home video releases include a Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD combo pack ($49.99), Blu-ray/DVD combo pack ($39.99) and single DVD ($29.99).
The Blu-ray boasts an array of special features, all produced by Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions, including making-of featurettes about the red planet seen in the film’s opening, the attack on Starfleet headquarters, the new look for the Klingons and their home world Kronos, and the fight scene between Spock and Khan, among other bonus features.
The home video release is set for Sept. 10 for Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand. The digital release comes three weeks earlier, on Aug. 20.
