Hey guys, I’ve added some stuff over to the gallery and video center in the past couple of days but haven’t updated the main page to tell you about it!:
Videos from the EMA Awards here:
Video clip of Zachary’s role on Miracles here:
350 screencaptures of Heroes 1×21 – “The Hard Part” here:
Zachary wasn’t on The View today like he was supposed to be so there won’t be any video or screencaptures from that, but as far as I know he’s still on Jimmy Kimmel this Friday so be sure to catch him on that! I’ll have screencaptures of the latest Heroes later today.
Entertaiment News International posted an interview with TOS actress Nichelle Nichols, while she was promoting her new role in the hit TV Series Heroes. Here are few excerpts.
Ian Spelling: And I do have to ask a quick Star Trek follow-up question, which is what do you make of the idea that they are revamping the franchise with a new film? And have you spoken to Zoe Saldana, who is going to be playing Uhura?
Ian Spelling: And if they called you, would you want to be there?
Nichelle Nichols: …(unintelligible) with Zoe. I think it’s – to answer the first part of your question, I think it’s just terrific. And – to know that Gene’s legacy shall not only live in what was there when he was here. But that it’s going on in that same image and like.
And I think that in J.J. Abrams’ hands, it’s there – all the respect and all of the wonderful characteristics that made Star Trek what it was will be honored – but I think he will also take it to even new heights as Gene would have loved.
I know that he’s up in heaven going like right on, you know. So I’m delighted and I’m looking forward to meeting Zoe and to meeting with J.J. I talked with him and he was a delightful man, although I had met him before. It was just a joy to know that he’s taking the helm for Star Trek.
I’d say as Trekkers that said Star Trek lives and they can just say now Star Trek lives on and on.
MovieWeb also posted an interview with Nichols. Here are an excerpt.
Nichelle, has Zachary Quinto (Sylar) talked to you at all about playing a young Mr. Spock in the upcoming Star Trek?
Nichelle Nichols: I know that he has talked to Leonard [Nimoy] and just saw him the other day at an awards show and he’s very, very excited. He himself is a Trekkie so you can imagine how excited he is to be chosen to play a young Spock. I gave him my best wishes. When I first came on the show all I had seen of Zachary was some pictures in the makeup room and I wasn’t sure… the moment I met him, I saw him in one of the episodes I said, “Oh my God, look what an actor.” Then when I met him in person I said, “This is a young Spock.” They did a brilliant job in casting him.
The Ebell Club in LA got a little bit more green last night as it held the 17th annual Environmental Media Association Awards. The event honors the entertainment industry’s environmental efforts from films to TV shows to actors/actresses committed to the cause. This year’s honorees include Sienna Miller, who didn’t make it to the event, Happy Feet, episodes of My Name is Earl and Numb3rs along with…wait for the surprise…Al Gore! Never saw that last one coming. Cuties from Ugly Betty, Michael Urie and Ana Ortiz, joined other TV stars like Zachary Quinto, Jamie Lynn Sigler and Emily Deschanel on the red green carpet. Oh yes, lest we forget the yummy central Gerard Butler. Is it getting hot in here or is that Global Warming? Yowza. The show will air on E! November 7, 2007 at 8pm.
Heroes star Zachary Quinto has admitted that he was on the verge of quitting acting before landing a role on the hit show.
The 31-year-old, who will play the young Spock in the forthcoming Star Trek movie, revealed that he had been having serious doubts about his profession.
He told TV Guide: “I was in the depths of despair to the point where I couldn’t get out of bed. I was about to turn 30, which is a notoriously tumultuous time for people, and I was dealing with career obstacles that were profound – a real existential crisis.
“I was asking myself: ‘What’s the point of all this? Why am I even in the game anymore?'”
His villainous character Sylar has proved so popular with the show’s fans that he has his own evil internet army.
